K-5 teachers and students during English Language Arts. The teachers and I work together to ensure the students are growing to help meet the vision of 100 percent of students working at grade level or their individual potential.

Why I love teaching…

I love teaching, because I love kids. It’s fun to watch them grow and develop into the person God has made them to be. My favorite part of teaching is when students stop learning to read and begin to read to learn.

Experience

Degree in Elementary Education (K-6) with a special education license K-8. I was trained by the Indiana Literacy Cadre to serve as an instructional coach for English Language Arts

Where do you see God’s handprints in your job here?

I have the privilege to grow my faith alongside many teachers that I work with. I also the God’s handprints are woven all throughout the day: praying with the students, staff devotionals, prayers before meetings and meals.

What’s a secret talent or gift you have?

During the summer, I learned to ice skate. I have a state championship ring from softball of my junior year in high school. I stole a base to win the regional game.
