Athletics at Holy Cross

Movement and teamwork from kindergarten through 8th grade

Playing with Purpose

Our athletics program is about helping students grow stronger, inside and out. Students learn to show up, work hard, support each other, and play in a way that honors God — win or lose.

Athletics Across Grade Levels

Kindergarten–3rd Grade

Younger students stay active through PE, and outdoor play. They learn the basics of movement, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

Grades 4–6 (Junior Varsity)

Students can join JV teams, develop their skills, and experience what it’s like to compete with character.

Grades 7–8 (Varsity)

Older students compete with other Christian schools around the Indianapolis area. They build leadership, discipline, and confidence — on and off the field.

How We Coach Athletics

Sports are seen as an opportunity to glorify God through effort and attitude.

Coaches model encouragement, accountability, and grace.

Practices emphasize teamwork and personal growth.

Win or lose, students learn to lead with humility and finish with integrity.

Physical activity is part of how we care for the whole child — mind, body, and spirit.

Pastor Dave McClean

“Our son’s had great coaches who have challenged and encouraged him. He has been able to learn the importance of teamwork and persistence, self-confidence and the having fun.”
