Fine Arts at Holy Cross
Creative expression from preschool through middle school
Made to Create
We believe every child is creative because we all reflect the image of a creative God.
At Holy Cross, art and music are part of how students grow. From preschool through middle school, fine arts are a regular part of school life and a powerful tool for learning.
Fine Arts Across Grade Levels
Preschool
Young students sing, move, and make art as part of their daily routine. They explore texture, sound, and rhythm in ways that support both creativity and development.
Kindergarten–5th Grade
Art and music are part of each week — from drawing and painting to rhythm, instruments, and performance. Students in grades 1–5 also participate in Afternoons with the Arts, choosing passion-based activities like dance, drama, percussion, and more.
Middle School
Older students can join choir, band, or drama. They work together toward performances and productions, growing in skill, confidence, and creative voice.
How We Teach the Arts
Teachers nurture skill and confidence through regular practice.
Creativity is encouraged as a way to worship, connect, and grow.
Collaboration and presentation are key parts of the process.
Students learn that beauty and expression are part of God’s design.
Holly Pinchouk
“Fine arts offer benefits far beyond the art itself.”
“Students build confidence, empathy, and problem-solving skills while creating in community. When they use their God-given talents in the arts, they see, hear, and feel the beauty of God’s creation.”
