My role is to teach all levels of middle school mathematics. My role is also to lead a seventh grade homeroom class, and help them grow academically and spiritually,

Why I love teaching

I love teaching at the middle school level. The kids are becoming so independent, but need our guidance, grace, and love more than ever! I love helping kids discover that math is challenging, but fun! It teaches grit, perseverance, and that sometimes, the struggle is where real learning happens.

Experience

I have my degree from Indiana University Bloomington in Elementary Education. I have a minor in Spanish. I have also received my license to teach Mathematics through 9th grade. I have previously taught Kindergarten at a private school, and I have written my own Pre-K and Kindergarten curriculum.

Where do you see God’s handprints in your job here?

Holy Cross is a very special place. Every staff member goes out of their way to make the children feel known and loved and connected to God.

What’s a gift or secret talent you have?

I absolutely love the game of baseball, watching, coaching, playing, all of it!
